Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in Peer Review
Manuscripts under review are confidential and must not be uploaded, in whole or in part, to generative AI tools, as this may breach authors’ confidentiality, proprietary rights, or data privacy. This restriction also applies to peer review reports, which may contain confidential information.
Generative AI and AI-assisted tools must not be used to perform or assist in the scientific evaluation of manuscripts, as peer review requires human critical thinking and original assessment. Reviewers are fully responsible and accountable for the content of their reviews.
CMM reserves the right to conduct an investigation and retract reports found to be using such AI tools.
