Policy on Research Involving Animals

Current Medical Mycology requires that all research involving animals be conducted in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Authors must obtain prior approval from the institutional animal ethics committee or an equivalent regulatory body.

The manuscript must include a statement in the “Materials and Methods” section specifying the name of the approving committee, the approval number, and the date of approval. The journal endorses the ARRIVE guidelines for reporting in vivo experiments and expects authors to provide sufficient detail on anaesthesia, analgesia, and humane endpoints.

Manuscripts that do not demonstrate appropriate ethical approval for animal studies will not be considered for publication.
